THE GIFT OF TIME PAST AND THE SQUARING OF
A CIRCULAR LOGIC
How does one use experience? How does one rightly argue what reality is, so as to identify that which fiction has tinted through all that what we have seen, read, felt, been moved by, created, used and criticized?
It may be difficult to reconcile the visual lexicon of consumer culture with the mental landscape of our ever growing and seemingly cluttered ARTWORLD advertorials into a more freewheeling than favour- inducing collection of contemporary works of art, what ever these might be.
But coquetries aside, cross-generational representations of ideas and thought are what we should be reminded of time and again, in order to help us champion original, dignified and maverick cultural and artistically interwoven representations of that catalogue of the fantastic which is core to our understanding of experience and knowledge. Of our captured fabrications of the implausible and real rhetorical accessories that form ‘historically speaking’, our CULTURE, and all that what we are as well as how we recognise humanity through that which is different.
From pre-modern techniques and modes of thinking to concepts that will allow history to dissolve into folklore and by doing so, contribute to the cyclical shaping of the future by nurturing our sensibility through a seemingly boundless criteria selection.

ARCANMELLOR has been commissioning and presenting artists in the UK, as both group and solo exhibitions since 2009.
We have worked with both emerging and mid-career artists providing them with a platform from where to develop a wide range of studio practices that engage with both traditional and new media.
Allowing them to work without the pressures of being attached to a commercial gallery.
Through our projects we have presented amongst others, artists such as Patrick Coutu, Alex Pollard, Sandy Smith, Lila de Magalhaes,Samuel Nias, and Scottish duo Littlewhitehead.
Updates on our 2012 projects will be published shortly.
